The Future of Fundraising
The Givedot Program’s virtual fundraising method is pertinent in helping schools and other organizations raise funds without face-to-face contact, especially in this time of pandemic.
Partnering with Givedot allows the opportunity for family members and friends of schools to be made aware of available fundraising projects and track the progress of campaigns. They are also able to leave comments and suggestions for new projects with ease, while using a simple, tax-deductible, online way of giving. In short, this is a no-cost and easy way for schools to get the word out about their projects and demonstrate how families can participate. It’s also a chance for donors to give in memory or in honor of someone.
The ease of fundraising through Givedot frees up school personnel and parent volunteers to address more pressing issues, such as dealing with the pandemic and the day-to-day operations of running a school.
Parents and other friends and family of the school want to be certain that their loved ones are protected the best way they can be during this time of uncertainty, and The Givedot Program offers an open, transparent method of donation to help with this endeavor. They also have a desire to help, and this provides them the perfect way to do so.
Hanalani Schools has teamed up with The Givedot Program for a COVID-19 Response campaign. Extra expenses for the school because of COVID-19 include purchasing personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment, implementing measures such as more frequent handwashing, providing various health upgrades, and providing distance learning. The goal of Hanalani’s fundraising campaign through Givedot is to help defray extra costs in response to the challenges the virus has created.
Hanalani currently has five active fundraisers though Givedot:
- Greatest Need – addresses the most urgent needs in the school
- Scholarship and Financial Aid – financial aid for students
- Athletics – supports the Athletic Department
- The STEAM program – Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts
- Hanalani Covid-19 Response
